Christmas, Suffering and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
A reader sent me an interesting video of a talk by Father Daniel O’Reilly of Columbia Catholic Ministry, who discusses how Christmas foreshadows Christ’s suffering.
For example, the baby Jesus was wrapped in swaddling clothes like babies of yesteryear and today are wrapped. But did you know that the swaddling clothes are also a foreshadow of his burial clothes?
Father Reilly gives some other interesting examples in this video.
