The Road to Rome: Bishop Fellay Talks About the SSPX and Rome

My prayers go out to Bishop Fellay. What a tremendous burden on his shoulders. He may never get a chance again to reconcile the SSPX with Rome.

In our Holy Father Pope Benedict XVI, we have someone who really cares about he plight of the folk. And so the Bishop finds himself having to make hard choices even without full support from the other SSPX Bishops.

I felt a pang of sadness and fear as watched this video.

What are your thoughts?

It is my opinion that the SSPX will survive this “trial” amazingly well.
Those who refuse to come in will be excommunicated. This time it will be without question.

I pray for the other Bishops and those who hold extreme views.

The majority of the priests will come in. Where will they go?

The chapels belong to the SSPX as do the seminaries.

I pray for the other Bishops as well. The last thing the Church needs is another mini schism. I pray for strength for Bishop Fellay and the ability to see the macro-view. It’s all about forming wonderful priests to save souls.
